Luca Savazzi - Piano
My name is Luca Savazzi, I was born in Mantua June 28, 1965. I began studying classical piano at ten under the guidance of M° Marco Martini, continuing until the age of seventeen at the Conservatory of Music "A. Boito "of Parma. After attending a course in Jazz piano with Franco D'Andrea at the Professional Music Center in Milan
(CPM), I continued my education on my own and taking part in some Clinics (courses in piano, harmony and improvisation) of the "Berklee College of Music "Boston, Massachusetts (USA) organized in conjunction with the " Umbria Jazz " festival in Perugia. In 1990 was born the "Luca Savazzi Trio" which, through various formations and concert activities, continues its work on the Italian’s jazz scene. Since 1993 I collaborate with the R.T.I. Music (Canale 5, Italia 1, Rete 4) as a sountrack ‘s composer.
In 1995 began my teacher’ exparience in several schools. In 1997 I became a member of “Bossa Nostra”, a brasilian – jazz combo with whom I’ve recorded the album "Bossa Nostra feat. Bruna Lopez" in the 1998. In 2000 I created and produced "Tom's Bossa", musical project dedicated to the music of Antonio Carlos Jobim, the Brazilian author and composer considered one of the bossa nova ‘s fathers. In 2007 started the collaboration with Beppe Di Benedetto (Mario Biondi ‘s trombonist and arranger), with which I recorded in 2011 the CD "Beppe Di Benedetto 5tet - See the sky" In 2009 I released my trio’s album entitled "From winter to spring" for the J-Digital In 2014 I’m with Dee Dee Bridgewater’s Italian mini-tour with the Philharmonic Orchestra Toscanini. Also in 2014 I create J.E.Z. Lab, an instrumental study group that brings together jazz musicians. In 2015 born and raise the second work of Beppe Di Benedetto’s 5tet entitled "Another point of view". In 1987 he began working as a professional musician on cruise ships in the US, continuing in Italy and working with various artists.
